This blog is a passion project for me. I’ve been blogging on WordPress for ten years now on a variety of topics including news, politics, religion, and more; however I’ve never really had a place to write about my love of technology. As an older millennial I grew up online. I remember the irritation of trying to sign in to AOL on a 56K dial-up connection only to have someone else in the house pick up the phone and force the connection to drop. I remember the exhilaration when my mom brought home our family’s first home PC, and our first Nintendo console – the NES. I remember the excitement of waking up on Christmas morning and finding a Super Nintendo under the tree, and a couple of years later unboxing my Sega GameGear. I remember being blown away by the graphics and gameplay of Twisted Metal and Metal Gear Solid on my friend’s Playstation. I could go on and on, but I think I’ve made my point.
I started this blog as an outlet for me to share my thoughts and experiences on tech in general, but with a focus on gaming and music. With that said, I also work in IT and really enjoy learning and teaching about computers and information security so those sorts of topics will also be here.
